Meet the Team
J. Kennedy Dentistry is an Etobicoke dental practice with over 50 years of history, led by Dr. Joanna Kennedy, DDS, a University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry graduate.
Founded in 1961 by Dr. John Kennedy, J. Kennedy Dentistry has remained a family-led practice for generations. His daughter Joanna joined in 2003 after graduating and has carried forward his legacy since his retirement in 2017.
Our professional team offers an unrivalled level of personal care to each and every patient. Creating a relaxed patient-oriented atmosphere while paying attention to details is what sets our dental practice apart. Because we’re a small office, J. Kennedy Dentistry offers the comfort of seeing the same familiar faces each time you visit.
Dr. Joanna Kennedy, BSc, DDS
An Etobicoke native, Dr. Kennedy received her undergraduate honours science degree from the University of Waterloo and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2003.
Dr. Kennedy is committed to lifelong learning by attending numerous continuing education courses. She has furthered her skills around optimal whole mouth diagnosis, treatment planning, and restoration while studying at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Kennedy believes in the promotion of comprehensive oral health treatment that is individualized, customized and provided in a truly caring way that respects the dignity and concerns of the patient.
Dr. Kennedy is a standing member of the Ontario Dental Association, and the Canadian Dental Association. Locally, she is a member of the Islington Business Improvement Association, the West Toronto Dental Society and the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club.
When Dr. Kennedy is not practicing her passion of dentistry she spends most of her time with her husband, Bill and her children Troy and Brooke. She is an avid golfer and skier.
Dr. Blerina Sinatrakaj, DDS
Dr. Sinatrakaj is an internationally trained dentist, originally from Albania, where she spent her formative years. She obtained her dental degree from the University of Tirana, Albania and subsequently practiced as a general dentist for almost a decade before relocating to Canada. Dr. Sinatrakaj furthered her education by obtaining her Canadian equivalency degree to become a Canadian licensed dentist. Currently she practices at various clinics in Toronto and is at J. Kennedy Dentistry every Thursday. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive dentistry with a particular focus on orthodontics, and actively pursues continuing education to stay at the forefront of dental advancements.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Sinatrakaj treasures her close relationships with family and friends. She finds joy in travelling, exploring diverse cuisines, solving puzzles, immersing herself in literature and practising yoga.

Sherry Boudreau
Office Coordinator
Sherry is a Certified Dental Assistant and has over 30 years experience in the dental field. She is always happy to answer any questions or concerns. She is very knowledgeable regarding dental treatment, insurance plans and financial policies. Her approachability and dedication play a key role in keeping our office running smoothly. Outside of work, Sherry is an avid sports fan, and you will often spot her proudly wearing jerseys of our local Toronto teams.
Julia Reyes
Dental Hygienist
Julia has been a valued member of J. Kennedy Dentistry since 2017. Known for her warm personality, great sense of humour, and infectious laugh, Julia helps make every visit a positive and comfortable experience. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family and her adorable dog. As a proud hockey and lacrosse mom, Julia stays active and also enjoys fitness in her free time.
Marta Arent
Dental Hygienist
Marta joined J. Kennedy Dentistry in the fall of 2025, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Her passion for helping you achieve your oral health goals is reflected in the personalized, attentive care she provides to every patient. Outside the office, Marta enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and their pets.
Rudina Capa
Dental Assistant
Originally from Albania, Rudina has called Toronto her home for over 15 years. Since joining J. Kennedy Dentistry in 2020, she has become a valued team member, known for her compassion and great sense of humour. Her skills in the kitchen are an added bonus, often delighting the team at staff lunches.
Maria Mandapat
Dental Assistant
Maria joined J. Kennedy Dentistry in 2023 after moving from the Philippines, where she gained several years experience in the dental field. Her strong organizational skills and attention to detail help ensure appointments run smoothly.
